So, an update to my previous post about the electrical damage due to the lightning strike..

My computer is also fried. I hadn’t even bothered checking it until last night, when I realized that I’d forgotten about it (I don’t use it that much anymore) — I turned it on, and it didn’t even POST. Not 100% sure if it’s just a single component, or if the entire thing is fragged. The only thing I’m particularly worried about is my rather large mp3 collection, which if that’s lost, I might just commit seppuku. It’s taken five years to get this music collection up to snuff. Starting over won’t even be an option since I don’t even have a file list anymore.

I’m probably not gonna bother building out a new machine for the time being. I was planning on buying an Xbox 360 this coming paycheck, and I’m not sure I want to not get it, since I’ve wanted a 360 for a while, and Bioshock is just enough to push me over the edge to get it finally.

The Wii is fine, though. If it hadn’t been, I might have already committed seppuku.
