sweet rpg action!

So, after finishing up Bioshock, I started a new game on the “hard” difficulty, both to get the “really good at this” achievement, and to get the “good guy/hero” ending by rescuing versus harvesting the Little Sisters you see wandering around.

Let me just say that when Bioshock says “hard” they mean “freaking impossible”. The first splicer I ran into took half my life away with one swing of his pipe, and took three our four swings of the wrench to take care of. My strategy is going to have to change.

However, GameFly came through for me, delivering both Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii and Blue Dragon for the Xbox 360.

I plopped in Blue Dragon first, and was immediately pleased. It’s a semi-traditional RPG game, in the vein of the early Final Fantasy games (FF3/6 specifically) with great graphics (especially the spell effects) and an engaging plot, although the main character’s catch phrase starts to get annoying real fast.

I’ll give Metroid a whirl next week and let you guys know what I think of it.
