So, I’m looking to ditch my 30gb ipod video in favor of something that doesn’t lock you in to iTunes without having to void your warranty.

I’ve been looking into the SanDisk Sansa Express 2 GB model, since it supports direct USB connection (no cable) and supports MicroSD removable media for expansion purposes. Convenient, since my new LG Blue Mint Chocolate phone also supports MicroSD. Of course, I’ll also need new earbuds, but I’ve always been content with the $10-15 earbuds at any random department store.

If any of you, gentle readers, have more specific suggestions, that would be awesome.
